Shannon Ma, Founder

Shannon Ma is a seasoned expert on IT automation. He’s worked in leadership and technical capacities at General Dynamics, Citrix Systems, and as a consultant.

While at General Dynamics, Ma was a driving force behind implementing and automating the company’s managed network infrastructure. He realized how common it was for even the brightest IT departments and managers to have difficulty answering basic questions about their networks in a cost-effective way: Are we in compliance with our software licenses? What’s being added and removed from our network? A new software update has been released, which computers need it?

In 2006, Shannon released NetPoint v1.0 for free and was overwhelmed at the feedback he received. Customers were very enthusiastic about how they were able to see the “big picture” of their network with ease. Over the years, NetPoint has grown to include many exciting and innovative features requested by customers just like you.
